A man who used to own a massage business in downtown Springfield is accused of touching his clients inappropriately.
William Morlang faces a long list of charges, including four counts of sodomy and six counts of sexual abuse. Police say four women came forward inaccusing him of touching them inappropriately.
The massage parlor is now under a new name and new ownership. The current owner says Morlang has nothing to do with the new business.
According to the probable cause statement used as the basis of the charges, the women told police that Morlang intentionally touched their breasts and vagina. The detective's statement also says the women said Morlang would move their hands to touch his genitals.
All of the women told police they did not give consent for him to touch those areas. When questioned by police, the probable cause statement says, Morlang denied the accusations.
He said he may have touched them inappropriately by accident. A judge prohibited him from practicing massage therapy, and his preliminary hearing is scheduled for late June.
